Welcome to our practice! We are committed to providing exceptional care to your child. Coastal Psychological Center is a clinical psychology practice founded by Drs. Kelley Knoch and Julia Morgan. We specialize in neuropsychological, psychological, and educational/academic assessments for individuals 18 months to 18 years old.
Our evaluations are comprehensive and flexible. Through skillful assessment practices, child/adolescent interview, and collaboration with parents, clinicians, and educators we aim to uncover patterns of strengths and weaknesses to contribute to a deeper understanding of a child’s behavior, development, and skill set. Our reports are comprehensive and provide individualized recommendations for ‘next steps’ in assisting your child.

Our Clinicians
Julia Morgan, Psy.D.

Dr. Morgan received her B.A. with a major in Psychology from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. After college she worked with adults at a community mental health agency before deciding to return to graduate school. During her doctorate training in Clinical Psychology at William James College (formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) she developed an interest in neuropsychological/psychological assessment and working with children and families. She trained at the Gifford School, Tufts Medical Center (specifically in neuropsychology), and Y.O.U., Inc., where she focused on psychological treatment of children and adolescents and neuropsychological testing. Dr. Morgan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) where she conducted neuropsychological evaluations at the Neurodevelopmental Center and worked as a staff clinician at the Adolescent Partial Hospital Program. After completing her training, Dr. Morgan continued working at NSMC in varied programs within the psychiatry department. She is now the Clinical Coordinator of the Neurodevelopmental Clinic at NSMC focusing on assessment of children and adolescents and supervision of post doctoral fellows. Dr. Morgan works with individuals seeking neuropsychological/psychological assessments for a wide range of referral questions including developmental disorders, language/communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and social/emotional diagnoses. Additionally, Dr. Morgan has focused training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with children and adolescents struggling with depression and anxiety, including phobias, OCD, and trichotillomania. Dr. Morgan has particular clinical interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Anxiety Disorders.

Kelley Knoch, Ph.D.

Dr. Knoch first became interested in brain behavior relationships and working with individuals with developmental disabilities while completing her B.A. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. She went on to work at the Yale Child Study Center as the Donald J. Cohen Predoctoral Fellow in Developmental Social Neuroscience where she spent two years conducting research on eye tracking, social development, and autism spectrum disorders. Following her fellowship, Dr. Knoch obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Connecticut with a specialization in Neuropsychology and Child Clinical Psychology. Her research interests included executive functioning, behavioral symptoms, and long-term outcomes in at-risk children and those with developmental disabilities. Clinically, Dr. Knoch's interests included neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan for a variety of presentations. She conducted assessments at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital and in the child and adolescent in-patient units at Butler Hospital in Rhode Island. While completing her doctoral degree, Dr. Knoch also engaged in school consultative services, outpatient therapy, and social skills groups while at the University of Connecticut and in her position as the John and Geraldine Weil Memorial Foundation Intern in Early Childhood Mental Health in Quincy, MA. Dr. Knoch is currently employed as a staff neuropsychologist at MassGeneral for Children's North Shore Medical Center in Salem, MA, where she provides developmental and diagnostic evaluation services as part of a multidisciplinary team for children with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, as well as, neuropsychological evaluations for children with attentional and learning difficulties. Dr. Knoch is excited to be a part of the greater Beverly, MA community and looks forward to continuing her work with families on the North Shore.

Matthew Levison, Psy.D.
​
Dr. Levison received his B.A. in Psychology from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. After working with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, he entered the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at William James College in Newton, MA. During his doctoral training Dr. Levison specialized in psychological and neuropsychological assessments with children, adolescents, and young adults. This included the assessment of a variety of social-emotional, developmental, behavioral, and learning disorders, with primary goals of diagnostic clarity and providing practical, useful recommendations and referrals. He additionally completed training programs that included individual, group, and family therapy, as well as working at a therapeutic school. Dr. Levison has also taught college courses including a Developmental Disabilities in Childhood course. In addition to Coastal Psychological Center, Dr. Levison is a neuropsychologist at the Neurodevelopmental Clinic at Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital. Within that role he also trains and supervises neuropsychological post-doctoral fellows who are working towards becoming licensed psychologists. Dr. Levison has particular interests in developmental disorders, emotional disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and the impact of childhood trauma.

Paying with Insurance: At this time we only accept Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Private Pay Evaluations: Private pay options are available for individuals looking for expedited evaluations or for those with other insurance plans.

Out of Network Reimbursement: Some insurance companies may reimburse for services rendered by out of network providers. If you are seeking retrospective payment from your insurance carrier we will provide you with a detailed receipt or complete necessary forms that you obtain from your provider. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine eligibility as plans vary widely.

Federal No Surprises Act Resources and Consumer Disclosures
The federal Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, more commonly known as the No Surprises Act (“NSA”),was passed by Congress. Among its requirements are steps for insurance carriers and health care providers to take that can help protect consumers from surprise medical bills.
