Lindsey Hogan, Ph.D.

Dr. Hogan has always been drawn to understanding individual differences and using her knowledge of theory and practice to best support children and families.  During her undergraduate training at Amherst College, her interest in psychology led her to work with children and adolescents in educational, residential, and hospital settings. Upon graduation, she taught elementary students at a bilingual school in central Mexico. This experience sparked her interest understanding how social, emotional, and cognitive strengths and challenges impact struggling learners. She additionally gained valuable experience with neuropsychological assessment and differential diagnosis as a research coordinator in the Pediatric Psychopharmacology Unit at Mass General Hospital. After pursing her Ph.D. in School Psychology at Temple University, and interning within the Newton Public Schools, she practiced for eight years as a school psychologist in the Boston MetroWest public schools. She worked closely with children, adolescents, and families to find optimal supports through comprehensive assessment, teacher consultation, program development, and individual/group counseling. Her passion for assessment and intervention led her to pursue more in-depth training as a post-doctoral fellow in the Neurodevelopmental Center at Mass General for Children/Mass General Brigham in Salem. There, she gained expertise in the evaluation and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, language/communication issues, as well as mood and anxiety concerns. She has continued to serve as a psychologist within the department and has broadened her role to conducting early childhood evaluations in the Multidisciplinary Clinic to support young children and their families. She holds certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and School Neuropsychology. The goal of her work is to help each child and their family understand and appreciate their learning profile, as well as see an optimal path forward across home and school settings.
